Kurt and Carmen's Wedding Info
When making your reservation, you
will have the choice of an Ocean View Room or a City View Room. We have
received a discount on both types of rooms, as follows:
Ocean View, $135 per night (2 people)
City View, $108 per night (2 people)
Kids under 12 are free, otherwise $25 additional for the 3rd person,
etc.
( We have heard the Ocean View Rooms have a spectacular view!)
These rooms are guarantee at this
rate until Thursday, November 4, so please make your reservation
before then if at all possible. Payment is not due on the rooms until
December 12. To receive this discounted rate, there is a 4 night minimum
stay at the hotel, however if you are not planning to stay that long
please let us know and we can work something out.
There
are several options for you to get to Cozumel:
1. You can fly directly into Cozumel.
We found that these flights tended to be slightly more expensive
than option 2, below.
2. You can fly into Cancun. Frontier
Airlines actually flies direct from Kansas City to Cancun, and these
were the cheapest flights we found! You guys are lucky! However, flying
into Cancun will require a transfer between Cancun and Cozumel. (Cancun
is located approximately 30 miles North of Cozumel.) Details of this
transfer:
- You can catch a small commuter flight from Cancun to Cozumel, which
is about $60 each way
OR
- You can take a van from the Cancun airport to Playa del Carmen, then
take a ferry across to Cozumel. This is about $24 per person, each way...
and it sounds like an adventure! :-)
Either way, let us know and we'll
be glad to give you more details of how to get between these 2 locations.
The dates you choose to travel will
of course play a large part in the ticket prices. We found tickets for
$402 from Kansas City to Cancun (leaving on Monday 12/27 and returning
on Monday 1/3) on Orbitz (www.orbitz.com).
If you use Orbitz to purchase your tickets, we suggest utilizing their
multi-day search to find the best deals around the Holidays.
Once you arrive you will need to show your US Passport or a valid US
drivers license and an official copy of your birth certificate (with
a raised seal).
